Hampstead Photographic Society Programme 25/26

The core of our programme is a series of talks by internationally recognised outside speakers, covering a wide range of topics including photojournalism, the art of photography, urban/street photography, landscape and travel photography – as well as more specialised topics.

We also have a number of members’ evenings throughout the year.

In Addition, we hold regular competitions, judged by external specialists. These give members a chance to show their work, and have it independently assessed.

On our technical evenings, several HPS members who are experts in various areas of photography, including digital processing techniques will present members with a glimpse of what is coming in photographic equipment and processing. They often run regular sessions on novel techniques in photography and offer one-to-one tuition (to full HPS members ONLY).

In addition to the pre-planned programme we have an informal “buddying up” scheme for members to both teach and learn to and from each other – covering shared areas of interest ranging from technical, creative and specialist topics and even just social gatherings.

Finally, we also have a few informal Members’ Evenings where members can exchange ideals and obtain or give advice.

Our weekly meetings are held either in person in our clubroom (see how to find us) or via a zoom link issued to members. Zoom enables us to meet expert speakers from all around the globe and we have had wonderful presentations from guests in Africa, Europe, the USA and Canada.
