Established in 1937, the Hampstead Photographic Society is Northwest London's premier photographic club.
The Society welcomes anyone with an interest in photography, from beginners to professionals. Our season runs from September to June and we welcome new members for the coming new season.
Due to the current restrictions, we are conducting our meetings via Zoom. It's proving very successful. Meetings are open to paid up members only. Please stay tuned for further updates.
The core of our programme is a series of talks by outside speakers, covering diverse topics such as photojournalism, the art of photography, urban/street photography, and travel photography.
Several HPS members are highly expert in digital photography, and we hold regular talks on digital techniques using our own digital projector.
We hold regular competitions, judged by external specialists. These give members a chance to show their work, and have it assessed.
We hold informal Members’ evenings where members can exchange ideas and obtain advice.
