15OO miles with everything Analogue – back through time in to The Now.

I recently bought a slightly obscure German camera; the manufacturer Walter Voss – was based in the Bavarian town of Ulm and only existed for ten years in the 1950s, and as I researched this old camera I began to formulate a project.

I took the Diax camera and its three Schneider lenses back to the town where it was created.

My project was a three week, 1500 mile motorcycle trip during June and July 2023, the seventy year old camera captured the story of the riding, camping, the places, the people and the town of Ulm, in black and white.

I returned to London with twenty one rolls of exposed Kodak Double X film to use to create an exhibition.

The story is currently a four part article being published in Motorcycle Sport and Leisure magazine.
