Technical Evening with Madeleine Winston

Madeleine Winston will lead this session on digitising film negatives and slides.

Many of us have boxes of negatives and slides from the pre-digital era that are rarely revisited simply because they are inconvenient to view. Digitisation offers a practical solution, making these images easier to access, share and preserve, while also allowing them to be enhanced using modern editing software.

Madeleine will guide us through the digitisation process using current equipment and apps, demonstrating how film images can be brought successfully into the digital workflow.

The session will be useful both to those wishing to rediscover and preserve older photographic archives and to photographers who still shoot film and want to learn how best to digitise their images for editing and sharing.
